michael jackson的《heal the world》大概是１９９１年的，收錄在他dangerous這張專輯中。當時是為了全世界的兒童，成立了一個“兒童基金會”，michael為這些孩子寫了這首動聽的歌。

１９９６年２月，“Heal The World基金會/世界兒童年會”的一名墨西哥籍的兒童大使向聯合國第二屆環境預備委員會提交了一份創建可持續發展環境的模本建議。

１９９６年４月，“Heal The World基金會/世界兒童年會”的兒童大使參加在喬治亞州亞特蘭大市舉行的“兒童為先：全球論壇”，美國前總統Jimmy Carter、Rosalyn Carter、 “Carter中心” 、 “救助兒童特遣隊組織”主持了會議，該會議同時由洛克菲勒基金會、Annie E. Casey基金會、世界銀行、Heal The World基金會聯合贊助主辦，將來自100個國家的360名代表齊聚一堂共同商討怎樣提高兒童生活質量的戰略議題。

１９９６年４月，“Heal The World基金會/世界兒童年會”的大使參加了在華盛頓特區舉行的“青年之光”會議，尋求更多合作關係以共同呼籲建立一個有著健康環境根基的社會。
